Kelly Cheng

Kelly Marie Cheng, born on September 18, 1995, in Fullerton, California, stands tall at 188 cm (6ft 2in) and hails proudly from the United States. A standout in collegiate volleyball, Kelly clinched back-to-back NCAA Championships in 2016 and 2017. Transitioning to the professional arena, she has carved an impressive path, notably winning the gold medal at the 2023 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships. Kelly has featured at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics as well as the 2024 Paris Olympics. As a dedicated athlete and proud Mikasa ambassador, Kelly continues to elevate her sport with skill, determination, and a commitment to excellence.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

2014 - 2016 Cheng began playing volleyball at the University of Southern California. Cheng rejoined former partner Sara Hughes and won the AVCA Pairs National Championship. Cheng was named a 2015 AVCA All-American. In 2016, they won first ever NCAA Beach Volleyball National Championship.
2020 - 2021 Cheng Qualified and featured at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, while also receiving Gold medals at the 2021 World Tour in Sochi, Russia and at the 2021 World Tour in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
2022 - 2023 Cheng and her partner Sara Hughes received Gold medals at both the 2022 World Tour Finals in Doha, Qatar as well as the 2023 World Championships held in Tlaxcala, Mexico.
2024 Cheng and partner Sara Hughes received Gold medals at the World Tour in Ostrava, and, Qualified and featured at the 2024 Paris Olympics
